Permanently link your MLS to your account
When using Appraiser for the first time you will be prompted to add your MLS information. If you wish to do this at a later time you can access this option by doing the following:
- From the Dashboard, navigate to the Account Management page by selecting your name from the top right of your browser window, then selecting Account.
- Scroll down to the MLS Member Info section and select the button that reads + Add MLS ID#
- Begin typing your MLS name and select the prefilled option, enter your Member ID# and select save.
If your MLS is not yet integrated into HouseCanary, you can still complete your report using our Data Importer feature which is detailed below.
If the status of your report displays the word "verify", it means no MLS has been associated with your account. You will need to use our Data Importer feature which allows you to link directly with your MLS (if integrated into HouseCanary) or export the data directly from your MLS and upload it when you begin your report. This allows you to pull in Comp Data as well as pre-populating several additional fields.
Select the state of your MLS if it is not already pre-filled, then select the MLS name from the dropdown list.
- If your MLS has been integrated into HouseCanary, you will be prompted to enter your credentials. After completing this step and saving, you will be taken to your dashboard where you can begin your report.
Please note: If you enter your credentials while using the Data Importer feature, you will need to re-enter your credentials each time you create/accept a new order. To store your information permanently, please see the option at the top of this page.
If your MLS has not yet been integrated with HouseCanary, please follow the directions listed below based on the message outlined below in red, beneath the state and MLS dropdowns:
"We are not directly connected to your MLS. To maximize the use of HouseCanary, follow the instructions below."
"Be the first to configure your MLS exports to be compatible with HouseCanary. We can do this entire process for you if you email us to setup a time."
