Property Explorer auto-selects comparables
Your report will be pre-populated with sales comparables selected by our system. We automatically adjust each comp’s sale value in comparison to the subject property. For example, if the subject property and comparable property are identical in all aspects except that the comp has one less bedroom, then our model will add the local market value of one bedroom. Our adjustment system factors in many HouseCanary Data Points, including but not limited to: locational differences, square footage, bedrooms, bathrooms, lot size, pools, and basements.
Map of subject property’s neighborhood
A map at the top of the report shows comps in the immediate area around the subject property. This map will be auto-populated with the comps selected by our automated system. Once you make comp selections, the map will show your comps instead. Read more about using maps in Property Explorer.
View selected comps at a glance
Previews for comps will appear below the map. You can also click on the property markers on the map to see property previews. See a comparable property’s photo gallery
Click a comp’s preview image to see a gallery of images for the property. You can expand or shrink these images using the slider at the top right hand of the image page. Click the “x” in the top right corner to close the image pane and get back to your value report. Sophisticated image recognition technology means you’ll always see the front of the home first, followed by the kitchen, living room, beds, and baths as photos are available. Our software prioritizes the most recent photos.
Compare your subject and comp side by side
Click on a comp’s preview information to open a window with a side-by-side comparison of the selected comp and the subject property, including thumbnails of the property’s photo gallery.
Navigate to Comp selection view
Click the layers icon (
